In a world where no ten-year-old children rose up to defeat the teams that threatened to take over their region, all six organizations worldwide were able to do just that: take over their respective regions. Unsatisfied with control over just their home, however, each set their sights on the mainland – Kanto, Johto, and the surrounding areas – only to find that they weren't the only ones with that same idea.

She watched the doors of the Radio Tower, the change in scenery had lost since stood a disappointment in many people, until they all forgot that once the Radio Tower held the corpses of the dead Pokemon, of course it never did make sense for Pokemon to get buried in a tower, though now they were in a burial ground under someone's house so she didn't know which one was worse. Amber had been hearing rumors about ghostly figures, and perhaps it wasn't a surprise because ghost Pokemon were real but those were Pokemon that held no clear shapes or were simply possessing certain objects, a candle for instance. These were sightings of actual ghostly apparitions of Pokemon that were not known to ever be possessed or be even remotely close to ghost types. Of course there was a rumor about a human figure joining in the gossiping but that was absolutely absurd, everyone knew that humans didn't become ghosts, they became Yamasks when they died, common knowledge really. Of course that was a sarcastic comment, Amber didn't really know what happens after one died, many like to make the comment that Yamask carry their faces around from when they were human but if you ask her they all look alike. It didn't matter to her what happens when someone or something dies, she cares nothing for it and it will not happen to her in the near future. Now back to the task at hand!
She walked through the doors, glancing around the radio station and ignored the woman at the front desk who tried her hardest to be spoken to, of course she would...pathetic lower lifeforms that the people who work front desk duties, or in general any desk duties. Amber had a desk, yes, but that was at home and held all her personal effects that she needs, she did not work there. Though speaking of work she wasn't here for that either, she didn't get a call to come in and so was off enjoying her own time here, doing something that had caught her interest. Proving people wrong about the ghost theories was something she was dying to do and as a scientist and a woman whose whole life was based on learning as much as she possibly could so the thought of being the first to either disprove the rumors that were circulating or even prove them right was much too good of an idea. Mostly she was aiming to prove those idiots wrong, harmless, non-ghost type pokemon do not suddenly become ghosts, even in a tower that once, somehow, held their bodies. Maybe she would figure that out first, where did they bury bodies in a tower? Did they simply scatter ashes? What an unsanitary thing, Amber didn't see many people enjoying the idea of walking through ashes and dirt of dead and gone Pokemon.
She fingered the Pokeball on her belt, a person at the stairs was trying to block her way, she wasn't allowed up there apparently and obviously these imbeciles did not know who they were dealing with, she will go wherever she pleases and will not be stopped by some less than dirt guards who feel like they can stop her from doing whatever she wished. She tossed the Pokeball into the air, her faithful partner Genesis, a shiny Frogadier who was quick to jump into action. Pads grabbed hold of the bubbly substance on his neck and threw them at the guard, the sticky bubbles clinging to the feet and floor, baffling the guard who suddenly couldn't advance and then Genesis wrapped the guards legs together, and Amber smirked, walking forward and promptly pushing the guard down with ease. "Consider yourself lucky I have patience to deal with you." Amber was not known for patience or even for being a woman who gave mercy easily. She did not get to where she was now by being kind, and she wasn't good at it anyway. She headed up the stairs, surprisingly there was no one here, it was rather dim lighting and perhaps that was because the only radio stations to air these days were propaganda for Team Rocket, so any other time there was no need for it. Her Frogadier stood by her, watching and keeping a close eye out to the surrounding areas, one might call the empty space creepy, especially when you know what used to go on here but Amber was not one to be hindered by such things.
A noise, a whisper-like quiet noise and it caused her to turn her head, cool green eyes narrowed. "Show yourself." She called out calmly, eyes narrowed at the dark surroundings, she could make out a shape, perhaps this was the ghostly shape people have been told they were hearing? Expect her to be a little disappointed and less than impressed when she finds out otherwise.
((A little random but I felt like...why not right? It's Lavender Town and almost Halloween after all!))

"Relax..." said a calm familiar voice as Elliot stepped out into the dim light of the door that the woman had opened. Stepping in beside him was his trusty absol, Nebula. Of course, she went absolutely everywhere with him and it was very rare that she ever left his side. He did have a pokeball for him, but it was shoved into one of the pockets on his pokebelt and never really used.
With a calm smile he couldn't help but drag his eyes over the other Rocket Admin. If it wasn't Dr. Amber Miller. Not one that he had spent much time with, but he was certainly interested in knowing what she was doing her. That would have to mean that she had heard the rumors about the "real ghosts" haunting the radio tower and, being a scientist, went to go and find out the truth. Elliot was pretty observant, but even he hadn't been able to pierce through the hard scales of Dr. Miller. Perhaps he could find even a little bit about her.
"Attracted to the rumors too huh? Only idiots would believe such tales." He said with his usual smooth calm voice. He didn't believe in ghosts. Not one bit, but he did believe in beings who wanted to cause trouble, and he wanted to know if this was going to be a problem for Team Rocket. It was nothing that he and Nebula couldn't handle, but still, he didn't want to have to deal with the paperwork of a dead Team Member.
Then he sighed and turned to walk back into the darkness. "Course nobody ever said that special effects weren't terrifying and couldn't start rumors. This is a radio tower after--"
His voice was interrupted by a blood curdling screech. To Elliot, who stopped dead in his tracks, it sounded like a ten year old child. Being quite grateful that he was standing in darkness and turned away from the other admin, the young man frowned. He heard Nebula snarl next to him and knew then that something strange had just happened. And yet... There was no site of ghosts or Pokemon alike.
Dr. Amber Miller, OMG! I'M SO SORRY THAT THIS IS SO LATE! D: I GOT SUPER BUSY WITH WORK AND STUFF. DX

An eyebrow raised slowly when a slightly familiar voice spoke out, a man and if it was familiar then he must be from Team Rocket, an elite or an admin, someone she may have seen in passing perhaps. Dr. Miller was more likely to forget voices and faces than she was to remember them, she was not a people person, she saw people and Pokemon alike as mere tools for her own experiments so why in the world would she actually attempt to remember the people she has come in contact with? If she could not get information out of them they were of no logical use for her. Of course she found amusing irony in the fact that she claims logic but was searching for signs of a ghost here in this building, foolish? Maybe, but it was a nice way to pass the time while she waits for something remotely interesting to happen, though she supposed seeing another Rocket checking out the sight was something she would call interesting, she didn't think anyone else would be interested in such things.
Amber looked at the man in front of her and the Absol next to him, a name rang out in her mind, Elliot. He was another Admin, not someone that she had made a point to know or even really bothered to care to know until now. She knew the names of the other admins but never actively sought out their company or thought process, no one in the Rockets had proven to be people that she could have a remotely decent time or conversation with so she had written them all off as "subjects to be tested on at a later date" and no that was not another stab at humor that was indeed very serious and showed how little she cared for them. "Did I give you the impression that I was tense?" She asked, a slight curve of her lips the only indication that she might be teasing a little bit when he told her to relax, she was indeed relaxed, ghosts don't generally scare people who did not believe in them. Explanations could be given for everything and she was here to seek out explanations for the rumors and bring them to light as any person who dared call themselves a figurehead of science would do.
"Yes, rumors brought me here. What can I say, I enjoy proving others wrong, it's a hobby of mind." Tone was rather serious, because she isn't a joker she really does like proving people wrong and usually gets it done quickly and efficiently. Amber holds a great deal of pride for herself and the work she does, ambition had gotten her this far and it could only reach higher as far as she is concerned. He mentioned special effects and she was going to say that would have been the first thing to rule out in her investigation when a scream interrupted them. Green eyes narrowed, her Frogadier let out a quiet croak and seemed keen on figuring out where that sound was. As far as Amber knew this whole building was closed, no one was allowed in or out, the only time it was used was to broadcast Rocket propaganda and other than that was generally kept away from the public, it was no longer a come and go type of place, the radio waves were too powerful a tool if others were given permission to enter. She looked to where they heard the noise and made her way over. "I suppose a child could have sneaked in here before us, however unlikely that may be." As far as she knew children got scared easy in a dark and eerie place like this, something must have startled the child. Amber was not phased, though she couldn't say the same for her Pokemon who seemed rather unsure of their surroundings at the moment. Was their a real ghost in this place? Amber believes in none of it, but of course who knows, the world is generally a place full of mystery.
ELLIOT CARMICHAEL I completely understand don't worry about it! Work can definitely get crazy sometimes.

A child? Elliot frowned. Not that he cared, but there was something peculiar about that thought. For some odd reason it made him rake his brain for any kind of information. But nothing came up. "Why would a child be foolish enough to come into a place like this with the rumors floating around? Besides, that guard you so amusingly took out would have noticed a child sneaking about, unless of course he was too preoccupied in his own idiocy to notice something so obvious."
His eyes wondered around the darkness for a few mere seconds before making his way over to the steps that led higher into the tower. Nebula followed close behind him eyes peeled for any kind of treachery. This place reminded Elliot of that time he was kidnapped by his own elite members and shoved into a tower Violet city. The thought caused him to narrow his eyes in annoyance at who had been the lucky bastard to find him.
But it didn't matter. The strange thing was, there were no Pokemon anywhere in sight. No real ones or ghostly ones. Not, of course, until he was able to reach the next level. When he looked up from Nebula, who had snarled behind him, he was faced with a swarm of Rattatas. All slightly transparent and all with glowing red eyes. They surrounded him with furious hisses. Standing amidst them was a tall man with long braided black hair. The man's eyes glowed an iridescent gold unlike that of the rats. Narrow crimson eyes widened ever so slightly at the sight of a familiar face. One that was not a pleasant memory.
"You..." Elliot said softly, barely audible to himself. The expression on the man's face was that of complete indifference. That expression that haunted his very dreams so long ago and yet had been adopted by his very own personality. As Elliot looked him over his eyes landed on the child. The one he had heard only moments ago. This time Elliot found himself taking a step back. The boy, about seven years old was bloodied and sobbing as he hung limp, shivering in the other man's long right-handed fingers. In the darkness it was impossible to tell who the child was, but just by seeing the boy's own pale skin was enough to convince Elliot of who the identity of it was.
But no... Elliot studied the form closely. This man was transparent while the child was not. Still something about this scene made him itch. This wasn't real... Was it?
"Why have you come to this tower?" Said a smooth, cold voice, very much like his own. Even now it threatened to give him a shiver down his spine. He ignored the chill however and glanced back at Dr. Amber, assuming she had followed.

At the words Amber found her shoulders lifting a little bit, glancing around the room for a moment as if she was wondering if the child would just show up here. Children were odd things and she didn't claim to ever know what they thought, "Most kids are curious, it wouldn't be surprising if one managed to sneak up here, at least it wouldn't be if that guard wasn't in the way before. An idiot, yes, but he did his job well enough to be an annoyance." She had no other real explanation for the scream of a child besides one actually being here, Amber would not accept the fact that there could possibly be a ghost here. She was not a woman that believed in such things and wouldn't do so without hard evidence of it's existence. Hard evidence meaning she would have to witness this and gain proof, ghosts are problems because they leave behind no evidence other than the memory of seeing one, so even if you believe you saw one and witnessed it first hand there is absolutely nothing that can verify that claim. As a woman who upholds scientific beliefs as if they were her life, because since she was a child it has been, she will not believe in the impossible because the impossible simply does not exist and cannot exist in this physical realm.
Elliot started walking up more steps and, mostly because there was nothing else to investigate here, Amber followed behind, slowly and quietly as she did so. She did not like following anybody but she can accept some help in finding out where this child was hiding, perhaps that was who was pulling a prank at the people that came to the Tower and made them so afraid. There wasn't much possibilities besides that but she stopped beside Elliot when he froze and stared at what was going on in front of them. There Amber saw something that she had previously labeled off as impossible, Pokemon were not known to come back as their previous form, or even come back at all. Ghost types themselves were labeled as an anomaly and were completely different from any form of other types, these Pokemon, the Rattatas, were still in that form and their eyes were red and their skin transparent. Amber was, she was...absolutely excited. There was no fear, there was only the spark of enthusiasm in her eyes and when she was confronted with something she's never seen before she must study it, she has to explore more. A smile appeared on her face, green eyes wide with an eagerness that was usually below her. Her whole being screamed at her to do something, to explain this phenomenon, her hand itched and Genesis stared at her, the water type has been with his trainer long enough to know the signs. She was afraid of nothing, and every new thing was something of discovery. Not only has she visual proof of something that usually doesn't happen, but she was so certain she can get hard evidence somehow. Her eyes moved from the Pokemon to the human figure.
Transparent, different, a unique species and test subject. Those were the first words that were registered in her brain, and while Elliot moved backwards she took a step forwards, the transparent being was holding onto a child, somehow. With what kind of force could such a creature grasp the solid form of the boy? Amber tilted her head, "Do you know him Elliot?" She asked calmly, though the hint of excitement rang out in her usually very cool voice. The being spoke, Amber took another step forward and nearly ignored the question, her eyes looking from the man, to the Rattatas and then to the hand gripping the child's arm. "At the moment? Studying you." Amber absentmindedly answered, the only time a human part of her showed itself was when she was in front of something she could not explain. She was determined to explain this, that much was for sure. "Now if you don't mind I will just conduct a test...Genesis, use water pulse." Amber ordered, pointing to a Rattata and mentally taking notes as it was too dark to reach into her bag and take her own handwritten ones. In a flash, the Frogadier's mouth opened and rings of water attacked the singled out Rattata, if it was a ghost type and the move hit then it would do damage, if not...then this was something completely new. And oh the thought gave the good Doctor here chills, the good kind of course.

Only for a moment did Elliot's eyes leave the man standing in the middle of the hoard of rattatas. This moment consisted of a single glance in the direction of Dr. Miller herself. Not that he looked or felt surprised. After all, once again, she was a scientist. But her demeanor had completely changed. Elliot had never seen her act this way before and so it was a little bit concerning to him. Especially seeing how jittery she appeared to be. It was like a whole new Dr. Miller.
But he didn't watch her for more then a split second. He was too focused on the man standing before them and the child sobbing in his fingers. Something was very wrong here. Something seemed very off. Over several seconds he suddenly felt the distinctive feeling of his own pale fingers shaking. Mere seconds. Only seconds. But in those seconds he could see forgotten images flash before his eyes. Horrible ones. Memories he would have rather completely forgotten and possibly had for a time.
But they were only seconds. Once he realized what was going on he took hold of the depressing fear that had clutched at him and shoved it way way way down into the depths of his prison. No. No. He would not allow himself to fall back into that despair. Never again.
He recovered only quick enough to see that Dr. Miller's Frogadier had attacked the spirit pokemon with hydro pump. Elliot's eyes narrowed as he saw the effects of it. Gone straight through. No flinch or flicker. All it did was make the single rattata and the one's behind it even madder.
Glancing ever so slightly at the man he saw that he frowned and burrowed his eyebrows in slight irritation. "You attack even though you have no chance of survival. Foolish woman."
"Dr. Miller... Do as you wish, but do not underestimate this man." Elliot did not want a dead admin on his hands, as the man in front of them would not attack him. No. Certainly not his own student.

It was merely in her nature to be attracted to things that could not, should not, happen. She was the type of scientist who would go to great lengths in order to get any questions she may have answered and she was a woman full of questions. Dr. Miller was one of the most active people you ever would meet who would do nearly anything for answers to her questions, and life was full of questions that needed answers. The wonderful thing about her field of study was that there was never any need to worry about if she finishes it, science is something that is as endless as the universe, which has no end in sight currently. Amber was a woman who knew what she wanted, and took what she wanted and right now she wanted and needed answers about what was going on and who this thing was. She had a sneaking suspicion that Elliot knew this man, she did not know who he was or what role he played but it was enough to spark curiosity in someone who rarely feels any towards human beings. Though she could make an exception for transparent humans. Of course, perhaps this was a projection? Then it wouldn't be nearly so amazing to her and she would regret ever getting excited, though projections normally don't hold crying boys in their hands. Though this could be a scene from a Pokemon move, many different theories flew through her head but it didn't stop her need to find out.
Amber raised an eyebrow at the words the two spoke, and actually chuckled a bit, a smirk on her face and her arms crossed over her chest as if she was thinking that this thing in front of her was the foolish one around here. "Foolish? No I am anything but, and I was not underestimating him or attacking. I was experimenting, if the move hit that Rattata, then it was merely a ghost type but it went through which means that it did not effect it so it is something completely different. Now then," She nodded and turned fully to face Elliot, no fear at turning her back on this being because her Frogadier quickly pressed his back against hers, eying the enemy to protect his trainer with no second thought. Obedient and loyal to a fault some might say but Amber enjoyed it like that, she never had to worry with a reliable Pokemon to cover for her and listen to everything she said. The Doctor stared right at Elliot, looking up into his eyes with a rather demanding look to them even in this dim lighting, she was not to be taken for a fool or stupid and she would not, and will not, have knowledge hidden from her. She did not care what sort of history they had, she simply needed to know for science who he was and she would not have this Admin sliding around the details. "you know this man, who is he?" Amber asked, though it was more like a demand, with her very familiar cool tone. They were on the same team and she would be persistent in finding out the answer even if he left the scene. She was not someone who could be shaken off.
You can't hide anything from her for long, so might as well spit it out while she's still giving you the option of telling her right off the bat. She generally becomes less of a kind person when her questions are not answered properly.

Ah... He had spoken. Revealed his connection. Not outright, but it was now opened to discussion. As she turned to him he could feel a cold chill brush down his neck. In his thoughts there was a bright flashing red light and an obnoxious alarm blaring off. WARNING! WARNING! INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT!
Elliot's expression remained completely blank as he looked into her eyes. He knew, that this woman would not rest, until she got what she wanted, the problem was. What she wanted was almost impossible for him to give. He remembered very little of the man he had called Master. Even those images that flashed across his eyes sight for that split second were gone.
For several moments he was silent as he gazed into her eyes with unwavering grace. He was not afraid of her. He would not give into her manipulations. But he would not condemn or dismiss her. She was important and would be better off as an ally then an enemy.
"He was my teacher Dr. Unfortunately, I do not remember much of how he taught. Only that he succeeded in creating his own monster." He told her, clearly speaking every word. But then he looked again at the man and the boy. Even if the man was possible, it didn't seem to recognize him. Nor was the boy he held possible. For he stood on the other side of the room several years older.
"But apparently someone is trying much too hard to impress my senses. And the question is. Why mine and not yours. I do not know about the rattatas or the man himself, but the boy you see is a direct illusion, because unless I have a dead twin brother or a very much alive son that I have no knowledge of, which is entirely impossible, that boy is my younger self."
Elliot had already spoken too much about himself already, but he too now wanted to know the truth of what was going on. It had become much too personal for him. His only regret of this encounter was the weakness he had opened up. At least it was now known to him. And even if it would take plenty of time, he now knew it had to be disposed of.
"Nebula, puerum posuit in ignis!" At his command the moon furred absol aimed a flamethrower attack directly at the child. Her mouth opened and a large ball of flame was formed and shot at him. Only seconds after the boy got hit the swarm of Rattata's went into a panic / attack mode. They began racing around the room in fury, even seeming to run into / float through the living beings in the room.

It was to say that she wasn't used to not getting her way, Amber had a way with either intimidating or tricking people into giving her information even if they did not want it to be given. She did not care how old you were or how tough you thought you were, she would exploit every opportunity to get what she wants. So to say that the Doctor was pleased that he was so compliant towards her rather demanding question was the truth. She did not care about his history with the man, she did not want to create a biography about him, she wanted to study about what was going on and so she nodded, pleased with the answer. The man was human, or was it had been? She did not know what to describe this as, but she knew that this man had a connection with someone here, which means most likely this was all a trick. None of this might be real, if it was only a connection with Elliot then this whole scheme was based around him, she was disappointed, definitely but it did not matter she wanted to figure out the truth anyway. She stared at the so called master, eyes narrowed slightly, she was starting to not believe any of this, how could something create such a strong illusion? To fool two strong minds that they could potentially be in danger or that this was real?
The boy was the target of her gaze now, Elliot said it was him, but a younger one. Now that, it was impossible and she barely flinched though when the man had his Absol shoot out a flamethrower at the child. She trusted the mans judgement, oddly enough, if this was not a real child to him then who was she to tell him otherwise? The moment the boy was hit everything went into chaos, the Rattatas were around the room in a flurry of dull, transparent purple and flashing red eyes. One going right through her and she was annoyed with their scurrying but there was no way to stop them, attacks would do no good to beings that would just jump right through it, it would only succeed in causing more panic. "This is all a trick." Amber's tone was on the edge of being annoyed, she disliked being tricked and even more so disliked parlor tricks like an illusion if that's what this was. Who knows why it only targeted Elliot for this, though she supposed if the young man had a tragic experience in his life it would be easier to get him on edge, Amber did not experience such things in her life. She never cared enough to be traumatized, she was like this from the moment she could interact, born to be the very person she has grown up to be. "Probably an illusion." Created by a Pokemon most likely, no human could pull off something like this and odds are human psychics are all fakers anyway, no one who claims to have tapped into the depths of the human brain could be so idiotic as most of the psychics she has seen, but that was a story for another day.
The scientist looked around the room, attempting to see through the flurry of crazed Rattatas and perhaps pinpoint a clue. Physic types or Pokemon that could cause distortion in reality were generally not her specialty, of course as a woman who spent most of her life studying her selective field and becoming an expert in that she found Pokemon to be less than interesting until recently. Figuring her way out of an illusion would take some thought, if it even was such a thing, but still disrupting the source was bound to free them. She did not know for sure what was going on, but she will find out. She glanced at Elliot, "Any ideas on how to solve this mystery?" She would take his thoughts into consideration, it was rare for her to do anything like this so don't get used to it.

He could barely hear her in all the confusion, but the just of what the Dr. had spoken was obvious. None of this was real. Oh, not to just toss it aside or anything, it felt and appeared very real. But he now began to understand the meaning of what he had noticed before. Elliot had a photographic memory. He remembered most everything his eyes lay on, unless he deems it unimportant, or forces himself to forget, which is what happened with his childhood. He hated those memories so much, that he forced his entire being to completely forget them, causing him to forget himself in the long run.
But it was now obvious to him who the illusionist was, and small grin slipped onto his lips. He didn't know why it had chosen him as a target, or how it knew his history, and memories, but he did know that what they faced now was a pokemon he had been searching for, for several years now.
"We are team rocket. Our game is to catch and steal Rare Pokemon to take over the world. I know what this is." he said under his breath. Now all he had to do was find a way to the other side of the room. He peered over at the blond haired man. He was now moving quickly to pick the child up and raced up the stares.
"This is an illusion. It looks and feels real, but its all in our heads! follow me!" he said and began to walk, hindered by the crazy Pokemon, into the chaos towards the other side of the room. He was not going to loose this prize, even if it had decided to emotionally bother him.
Once on the other side of the room, the swarm completely vanished. There was no sign of Rattatas in the room at all and any pain, damage, or ghostly feeling was gone. The illusionist had given up its attempt and would now move onto the next one. This time possibly driving a direct attack.
"Its called a Zoroark, don't know if you've heard of it before. But its an illusion Pokemon. And a very rare one at that. I've only ever fought with Nebula, but if I had a Zoroark..." He trailed off. The slight excitement starting to escape. No... He would not let that happen. He turned to Dr. Miller. "My only reserve is that I don't know how it knew who my teacher was. So, I warn you that it may have other tricks up it's sleeve. Though... you would never give the impression of worry now would you?"
A slight snicker lifted his lips as he joked at his "companion." That was not something he did often, though sarcasm was one of his favorite ways of speaking and manipulating.
Post by Dr. Amber Miller on Nov 7, 2014 21:56:50 GMT -6
Amber didn't know if she should be surprised that Elliot knew what was going on after a moment of thinking about it, after all this thing...it seemed to know about his past and about him so it shouldn't be surprising if he suddenly realized the connection. The scientist found herself smirking just a bit, hearing him say what their job as Team Rocket members were, if she was the joking type she would tease him about how she didn't know that he was so passionate about their cause but of course the woman kept it to herself, Dr. Miller was not a friend of anyone and she would not pretend to be one during this little partnership that they were forced into, and only because they were going to same way. They were admins in the same team, nothing more and nothing less so she would not pretend to care or give the impression that she wanted to be on friendly terms. The man was escaping and Amber watched him go, about to head out after the man when Elliot claimed to know the Pokemon and to follow. "Fine, after all I'm certainly not going to leave, this is much too interesting." Amber would have punted the little rodents that were running around if she could actually hit them, she would never look at a Rattata again without wanting to dissect it simply because she will remember these annoyances, not that anyone actually liked the little things anyway.
Finally once they made it to the other side the rodents were gone, and the undisturbed darkness was in front of them, once they were clear of the swarm she silently listened to the others words. A Zoroark, the master of illusions. She has heard of the Pokemon, rare and didn't show itself very often and though the Pokemon tended to enjoy tricks and illusions she has never heard of one creating one in order to start a rumor, and perhaps in order to bring Elliot into the Tower. Amber glanced over at the man when he seemed to be joking with her, she stared at him with cool green eyes before her mouth turned up just a bit, an eyebrow raising as she stared. "Me, worry? Oh no, I'm just trying to think about what to tell the boss when we lose an admin by him chasing after a potentially dangerous illusionist who seems to have a vendetta against him." Amber said, her tone sarcastic and probably as joking as it's going to get, "But don't mind me, I'm just here to observe." Honestly she was here to check out the power of this Zoroark, she has never met one before and she didn't care if Elliot caught it, she merely wanted to be able to take notes and study it. Maybe do a little bit of experiments, there was always room for science in these times.
"But really, getting killed will only be a burden on me so let's attempt avoiding that." She was confident in her Frogadier's ability to protect her, and if she needed to she would have the water type help, and yes that is also the closest one will ever get to her saying something like "be careful". Though she really meant the words she said, explaining this situation would be such a drag on her, but take the words however you want.

"Me, worry? Oh no, I'm just trying to think about what to tell the boss when we lose an admin by him chasing after a potentially dangerous illusionist who seems to have a vendetta against him."
In response Elliot glanced back at the other admin with a hint of amusement in his eyes. yeah, he just happened to be that kind of person. Always getting himself into troublesome situations despite his calm demeanor. Did that mean he was a troublemaker? Didn't matter. It was the adrenaline dump that he had become addicted to.
"A rare illusionist you best not forget my dear." He said, a flash of excitement crossing his face. This was a moment he had been waiting for since he learned about the illusion fox Pokemon. The opportunity was a once in a life time chance. The problem that he faced was the legend. Captured Zoroark were known to permanently haunt the trainer with a constant illusion.
But of course he was the first to race up the steps on the other side of the room. But to say that he was irritated when he reached the top of the steps was an understatement. This time however was a completely different manor. There was indeed a man there, but he was more in his twenties rather then in his thirties like his teacher. And his facial features were only slightly different. He had the same long jet black hair and piano fingers as Kaun.
But it was his current actions that made him furious, course the only show of it was the sharp daggers that flew at the man from his deep frozen crimson pupils. The man's voice boomed in a fit of rage at the two pokemon standing before him. One a purple and black Zoroark, the other a blue and black Lucario. But it appeared to Elliot that the lucario was completely unaware of his master, as he was laying on the ground beside the Zoroark writhing in pain. He was burnt to a crisp, most likely from Nebula's flamethrower move, but even that wouldn't have hurt the Lucario this badly.
"Worthless Pokemon! Can't do anything right!"
Elliot was about to say something to the man that looked familiar with no former connection, but a movement attracted his eyes to the cowering Zoroark. For a moment he could see nothing, but then something squirmed from within the Zoroark's mane.
"Is that how you think Pokemon should be treated after they tried to protect your life? They worked really hard to keep your identity hidden, though it's kind of funny how they made the illusion look exactly like you." At the sound of Elliot's voice the other man looked up. He didn't say anything back, but Elliot just assumed that was because of his sudden fear.
"Especially since I am now going to stripe you of the right to have them. From this moment on the Zoroark and the Lucario belong to Team Rocket!" At his heightened voice Nebula stepped into a fighting stance beside him ready for a fight to commence.
Dr. Amber Miller, DX AH SORRY FOR THE INCONSISTANT HAIR COLOR FOR THEIR OPPONENT. I JUST REALIZED THAT.

Perhaps on a worse day she would have reprimanded the use of the term dear in that sentence, but at the moment Amber didn't care and she simply shrugged her shoulders, "Very true, the prize is well worth the risk." She was not one to ever think about her own well being when it came to her research so she supposed that when a Pokemon was involved some people push aside all risks and went after them. She shrugged her shoulders, everyone had a passion for something and she could tell from the excitement Elliot seemed to show that this was his passion, maybe it was because he has been searching for it for so long, either way she was not one to judge. Though she wondered, in a Illusion, how can someone tell if something is real or fake? In the Zoroark illusion you could touch things and they feel real, if your mind believes it to be true can you live your whole life in a constant illusion that you can never escape? She was curious, it interested her, this power that the pokemon could wield. If Elliot captures it she must have him test the illusion ability on someone, maybe even herself, she needs to see if there was a possibility of forcing ones mind out of the illusion. Ah, the things she'd do for science.
The sight before them now did not really phase Amber, she's seen what humans are capable of doing to their own Pokemon, even if the Pokemon has been with them for so long. Amber herself doesn't see much use in being cruel to her Pokemon, Genesis has been nothing but loyal and protective since she obtained him though it's not like Amber gives much room for their to be anything else but she would never do anything to Pokemon that she didn't deem as necessary, hurting them for the sake of hurting them is one of those things. As a Rocket member she was generally not an advocate for Pokemon rights, but she could see the positives in obtaining these two Pokemon for Team Rocket, or the excuse in order to capture them. She motioned her head forward when Elliot got in the fighting stance and Genesis swiftly moved in front, next to Nebula and in his own fighting stance, eyes narrowed and seem to be prepared to back up Nebula should the situation call for it. Amber stared directly at the man, she had no patience for people getting in her way, "Hand them over or we'll be forced to make you." She states this calmly, but inside her brain is reeling, she wasn't going to let this man escape, she had questions she wanted out of him even if she had to force him to answer them. After all what was the point of this whole elaborate scheme? Her curiosity will be the end of her one day, but not today.

To see Dr. Miller stand beside him on this little raid was quite and interesting sight to Elliot. He never saw her to be the caring type. Though he wasn't either. Currently the only reason he wanted Zoroark on his team was because of it's illusion abilities. He would be unstoppable with these abilities. Especially with ones as strong as that mother Zoroark. Besides, these two would be brilliant specimens for Rocket's business.
Not to mention the younger one hiding in mommy's mane. Judging by the mother's defensive pose toward the man and the two Rocket Admins, the baby was yet to be known about. She also seemed very jumpy in the way that she moved, like she wanted the child to stop moving and creating noise. Right now mommy dearest was staring right back at him. A feeling that made Elliot want to gaze back at her. But right now, he had a job to do.
"I don't know who you think you two are, but team rocket is no threat to me. Or my pokemon." The young man's voice was nothing like the man he knew as a child. It was impulsive and demanding. A type of human being that really pissed Elliot off. Like Jack but worse.
"Nebula, gladium spiritus." His voice was calm but icy cold. Team Rocket would not get insulted let anyone get away with it. Not that he cared about Team Rocket itself, but that was his stage after all. He was supposed to stand up for it. Few seconds after he spoke those words Nebula began to react. All around them it seemed like a whirl wind or small hurricane was washing through the tower. It started off thin and slow, but it slowly started to grow fasted and stronger. Dust and particles being picked up all around.
"Team Rocket may not be a threat to you, but we on the other hand are not those you should mess with. I will take you out!" His voice was loud so that it reached over the sound of the constant wind. The Razor Wind attack was one of his most effective attacks, one that was used by him very often because of it's enormous show. A lot of times it was used to scare people off, then it was to actually hurt anyone. Just in time, the other man's eyes widened slightly. But the move suddenly disconnected from Nebula and vanished soon after.
Both Elliot and Nebula narrowed their eyes in confusion and annoyance. Though Nebula was more obvious about it. She started to try the move again but it didn't seem to work. It wasn't until he began to feel cuts be sliced into his skin from an invisible force that he realized it was all an illusion. The Zoroark had created the illusion that the move had cut off even though it was still going. "Cut it off Nebula! AH! Nebula cut it off!" and regrettably so she did.

Amber did not fight much for other people, in fact she rarely did anything that would not benefit her in the long run and luckily all she saw in this exchange was a benefit for herself, or else she probably would have left Elliot to fight for himself in this situation, of course she had no doubt that he'd be able to handle himself but she wanted to be an ally to him, after all that was usually the best way for people to do what you wanted them to do. If someone views you as important they will usually listen to requests that you wanted. Amber was all about getting people to accept her requests, without having to force or blackmail them anyway. You know, the normal way to go about these sort of things.
Amber noticed the Zoroark's mane moving but she didn't know about the Illusionist other than certain things about it's powers, she had no idea that there was a baby in it and really it didn't matter to her, she was doing this so that Elliot could capture it, a baby or the mother made no difference to her. Though if told it was the baby that Elliot was after she might complain just a bit about the fact that she won't be able to test the full capabilities yet, though if the older one went to Team Rocket, imagine the possibilities if she managed to convince them of it's uses! She was going to be a child on Christmas for sure if she had full access to the powers of this Illusionist! She was not interested in having one on her team though, something like that would only hinder her, she needed Pokemon that were obedient and never second guessed and the threat of its illusions were too great and could possibly be a hindrance.
The young man was cocky and full of himself, it was more of an annoyance than something she respected. Amber disliked people who were full of themselves but had nothing to really show for it, a half-dead Lucario and a cowering Zoroark were not impressive, let alone threatening in the very least. She found his response too idiotic to be dignified with a response, so she simply stayed quiet. Elliot spoke in another language again, which her ears recognized but she could not put a translation unless they were in letters in a book, as a scientist she learned it, though only in the written way so she couldn't put a translation into her head but she was surprised that he was able to learn it so well. A dead language wasn't something most used and she supposed it had it's advantages, no one knows what move you are using until it is done, ah the advantages but Amber didn't fight much so it wasn't important to her to have much advantages over anyone.
Wind blew around them, she watched for a moment, eyes narrowing as dust and her own hair blew around though luckily it was in a pony tail and didn't bother her too much as this attack started but nearly as quick as the wind started picking up it was done suddenly and she blinked, eyes narrowing, how can something stop an attack so quickly? She glanced around the room, suspicious, and Genesis who was looking confused stared back at her as if asking her what she thought was going on. Her eyes landed on the Zoroark, was this a-? Suddenly there was pain cutting through her, a swear leaving her mouth in the sudden pain, Razor Wind didn't stop at all and she was standing close enough to get sliced with it as well. Genesis looked panicked at the pain she was in, he had saw his trainers eyes land on the Zoroark before she was attacked so in a fury he aimed a water pulse at the dark type, trying to stop it from doing whatever it was doing. Amber on the other hand, she was in pain and most likely bleeding but she was staring at the Zoroark with a look of interest even in her pain, she wondered how much it took out of the Illusionist to do such elaborate tricks. So much to test out, so much to push, endless possibilities and she couldn't let it get away now!
