ALISON DUFORT

History

For Alison Dufort there was no choice in her life, the only option she had was to join Team Magma. Her father was Alexander Dufort, a former Admin of Team Magma. Alexander served directly under Maxie, when he still ran the organization. It was a prestigious position, and coupled with his family's own wealth, Alexander took great pride in himself. Excepting the same success from his two children, the man was both harsh and unforgiving when it came to them. Alison and her brother were given nothing growing up, they had to work for everything. Every meal, every piece of clothing had to be earned in the Dufort house. The Dufort siblings were taught to be quiet and obedient.

At the age of fourteen her father died in combat against team Aqua. Alison couldn't cry, all she wanted to do was yell at him, to just have one chance in her life to speak her mind to him without fear of punishment. Responsibility of the household fell onto her elder brother. He was always the golden child, the one that their Father spent less time belittling. Yet the pressure of joining team Magma, of running the Dufort household was too much for him to handle and he cracked. Fleeing the Dufort estate in the middle of the night he left Hoenn, never to come back. 

Alison's Mother, a greedy woman, took the families's wealth for herself. Mocking the girl, her Mother told her that if she wanted share in the Dufort fortune then she had to earn it by fighting like her father did. So she shipped off the young girl to the Magma headquarters, to take her brother's now vacant spot. Alison received a lot of strange looks when she arrived. They expected the protegee of Alexander Dufort, not his meek daughter. None the less they put her to work, giving her a young Rhydon. 

Left with nothing but her father's reputation, Alison struggled to earn what little she had. Her mother took a rather large garnishment of her pay, leaving her with barely enough money to survive. People liked to compare her to her Father, or more specifically how she paled in comparison to him. At first they were right. She was both meek, and clumsy which was a sharp contrast to her deceive father. Training night and day, Alison did her best to improve. It took three years before people started to take her seriously. Another three years passed and she was promoted to Officer. The only thing her mother had to say about the matter was, "Five years and you are only an officer? Pathetic." In the wake of her mother's cruel words the Magma leader announced his plans to move to the mainland. Eager for the change, Alison hoped it would finally be a new start for her.
