• The Teams

It's important to remember that the organizations aren't exactly like the ones you remember in game! In order to promote character diversity - yes, most of them are going to be a little on the evil side, but we can't totally forget about the soft spoken and sweet characters, can we? - we've dulled down some of the teams' evil intents, even going so far as to make groups like Plasma and Flare non-violent. Your character doesn't even have to necessarily agree with the organization's motive, as well; remember that they could be joining for money to support their family, or tagging along due to a lack of nothing better to do. Below are the detailed descriptions of each team, as well as which cities belong to who. Make sure to check up on these each time the team points are tallied to see who's winning!


Team Rocket is originally from Kanto, have already moved into Johto, and now control much of the mainland. They are still stealing Pokemon for personal gain, as well as money making and societal status. Their ultimate goal is to eventually take over all of the whole world, but realized early on that starting in Kanto would be most advantageous and were quick to run and grab it. Of course, some other teams ran in and stole what they had, but they're highly confident that they can win this war.




Team Aqua is one of two groups that had their start in Hoenn and have been struggling for dominance over it ever since. Unruly and crass, they want to flood most of the world's landmasses in order to allow more sea for their beloved water-types. They can be a bit forceful and go a bit overboard when dealing with opposition, but they're sensitivity is only rivaled by that of their opposing team; while they're not quick to seeing when they've done wrong, when they do see it, they do everything in their power to help fix it. While they couldn't beat Team Magma in their home region, they hope to get an edge by controlling the main land.




Team Magma is the second of two groups fighting to control its home region of Hoenn, fighting against their polar opposites since the moment they became aware of the others' presence in the region. Uniform and formal, they hope to dry up as much of the planet's oceans as they can as to promote even more land expansion, as well as providing more room for their fire-type partners. Like Aqua, they can be violent when it comes to getting what they want, but will – albeit slightly more reluctantly – work to fix whatever wrong doings they have done. Unable to get a foothold in the battle against Aqua in the motherland, they set their sights on Kanto and Johto hoping for a competitive edge.




Team Galactic is the one team out of six who had their grand plan completed before they took over their home region in Sinnoh. Through an elaborate plan that required the aid of legendary Pokemon, they were able to rip a hole in the fabric of space that would lead into another universe. The portal, however, was unstable, and their original leader was the only one to enter before it collapsed, never to open again. Hoping to expand mankind's reaches into outer space – and find the man who started it all, if at all possible – they hope that taking over the mainland and the rest of the world will push humanity into the right direction. Their cold hearted and cruel ways of going about things, however, doesn't bode well with the people under their command.




Plasma is the least violent group of them all, using peaceful protest and the power of words to spread their influence. Defending that idea that Pokemon should only be friends and not used for battle, they tend to "fight" using contest more than anything else. Battles, as you can imagine, aren't really their thing. In the end, they hope to ban Pokemon battling across the world, just like they have in Unova.




Team Flare battles as they have in the past, but just not as extensively or without reason. Having realized that destroying Kalos would accomplish nothing, they have instead chosen to tone down their efforts, only battling when necessary and winning over support with a good cause and better speakers. They just want to make the world more stylish, really. They participate mostly in contests, with a few exceptions. Eventually, their goal is to take over the world and make it a more beautiful place.
