History
Average childhoods tend to be the best childhoods. Originally from a village in the mountainside, she grew up with a loud and troublesome older brother their parents would devote all their efforts into making right, meaning that they were perfectly distracted from her own shortcomings. She did just acceptable in school and had a couple of friends, spent time making up outlandish rumours and inventing games, along with the occasional shop lift that is simply a part of growing up somewhere boring.
Boredom truly seems to be heir main motivator in life. A cousin got her a job that prompted a move down to the coast in her teens, even if it was just waiting tables at a dusty old beach restaurant. It wasn't even bad at first, as the staff proved to be a lively crew and summer nights were spent at the beach with a drink in hand, enjoying silly flings and sillier drama. Yet even as she felt slightly above it all the rest gradually moved on to better and bigger things while she was simply stuck. It didn't take her long to grow to hate her job, even if it was all she had.
While not really a stranger to receiving gifts from the men she would briefly date, waking up next to a pokéball after a weekend with a traveling businessman was a surprise. Sort of sweet, she guessed. Still she didn't find much use for the creature besides letting him run around and eat scraps from work. After quietly observing Team Aqua rolling up on their shores and taking control, she reached a why-the-hell-not point in her mind and seized the opportunity to quit her day job in order to join their ranks. She may not be entirely convinced about their mission to flood the world, but it is at least the most exciting thing that has happened in a while.
