History
Isaiah has been "Novick" for as long as he can remember.
He was an orphan, given away by parents that couldn't handle him financially, and, despite what many would think, he doesn't hold any hatred towards his birth parents. Taken in by an elderly man, he knew early on that he had to be able to work for what he wanted. After all, a sickly old man couldn't actually provide all that much besides shelter and enough to live off of for both of them because, despite having been a skilled Pokemon trainer in his days, his Pokemon were almost as old as him, and not quite as battle ready as they used to be.
Growing up, he began to think of the two of them as a duo. It was them against the world, or so they would say to each other with amusement, and, with this expression in mind, Isaiah was mentored by the old man in Pokemon battling until he could handle his own. He began to hang out wherever trainers arrived in multitudes, readily battling whoever he could.
Once he felt ready enough to traverse the region on his own, Isaiah assured his foster parent that he would come back for him and left, collecting badges and whatnot throughout his journey. Unfortunately, however, he came back only to discover that the "old man," as he fondly called him, had caught an illness and, with no way to contact Isaiah, had died with only their neighbors to mourn him.
Having the only person he cared about die carved Isaiah into a careless person who had a hard time finding things he could stick to despite his normally determined behavior. At the early age of seventeen, he discovered Team Galactic and joined the resistance group as a grunt in hopes of finding something he could dedicate himself to. Despite not being sure of whether or not he cares about their cause to this day, he soon became strict on himself to work hard for the organization and, due to the time and effort he put in along with his skills as a Pokemon trainer, he made his way up the food chain, eventually settling as an admin.
As a person, he's a bit mysterious. His late father figure taught him not to hand out his full name to just anyone and, as a way of honoring him, "Novick" stuck to this and is still sticking with it to this day.
