| allies | Odo is a strange creature. Outwardly, he is a charming young gentleman with many talents. He maintains this facade unless it no longer benefits him to do so. Young or old, Odo knows how to make allies when he wants to. However, his friendships are shallow, so keeping any true friends longterm is another story. It is a rare thing for anyone to get truly close to him, as he’s emotionally detached, somewhat secretive, egotistical, and generally difficult to pin down for an extended period of time. Acquaintanceships are still very likely for him, as he is intrusive enough to stop and talk to anyone he pleases. He loves bothering strangers. In terms of love, he doesn’t connect to others as most do. He has no romantic interest despite an occasionally flirtatious or physical approach to socializing.
| enemies | Odo welcomes enemies into his life as lesser rivals, ready to shrug away the worst and defend himself when necessary. Some could dislike him for his eccentric behaviors, as he’s exhausting and intrusive enough to break the patience of others. He’s also shameless and reckless at his core, a dangerous combination of emotional disconnect and a surplus of energy. He plays the part of a young gentleman, but that is not who is truly is. He shamelessly plays games with the lives of others when he feels like it. It would be fun if someone called him out on his troubling negative qualities, but he would be prepared for someone to challenge his facade. Honestly, it might be the best therapy for someone to knock his ego down a few pegs.
| others | For better or worse, I would love to see how he regularly interacts with the other members of Flare. He is ambitious and a bit more heavy handed towards his goals than the other members of Flare may appreciate. However, he undoubtedly gets the job done. I’d also like to see how he interacts with members of the other five teams. He’s fascinated by them and would love to feign some friendships, or even find some suitable rivals. When not working on something, he can be found busking in the streets like any other ordinary street performer. Juggling is his favorite pastime currently.

So right off the bat I noticed that they’re both the children of wealthy Kalos families, so maybe they could have met a couple times as children at fancy dinner parties? Since Camille is such a frantic mess (especially at parties), maybe he could have been an amusing spectacle to watch during them (by knocking over a drink tray, freaking out and trying to rearrange all the table decorations on the floor, or just throwing a terrified tantrum)? Alternatively, he could just known him as part of team flare? Like, having a mixture of respect and jealousy for him, since he’s from a similar background yet is so well put together (seemingly)? Or Odo could have just been sent to evaluate the newly promoted officer, if we’re looking for thread ideas. Lol, I dunno, I’m just tossing stuff up. xD Tell me if none of it works, and I can try to think of something else. C:

This is great, I think we could mesh a lot of this together! <3 I think that having met before at fancy shmancy dinner parties would be a fantastic place to start. Odo was always a perfect young gentleman at those sorts of things himself, but damn would he have loved to watch Camille doing anything like that. He’s an asshat in that he would even probably take the time to encourage unusual behaviors if he thought it wouldn’t personally affect him. I don’t know how deep that sort of acquaintanceship could have gone when they were younger, but perhaps its something that could have been picked up again when they met again in Team Flare.
Odo is a very different kind of crazy, and he is seemingly very in control. When it comes to Camille, he’ll likely be amused, endlessly patient, and otherwise unfazed by the worst since he doesn’t really form emotional connections to anything in the way that others do. Which could be good, could be bad. moralcompasswhat’sthatamiright We’ll have to see where it goes! Either way, I think Odo will like him even if it’s not mutual, haha.
ANYWAY, sent to evaluate Camille works for me as a first thread! Let me know if you have a preference as to where you want the thread, and we can go ahead and start it if everything sounds fine. <3 I can start it, or you can if you want. I’m really flexible. o/

Awesome, it sounds hilarious (I’m mean to my characters xD) for Odo to have encouraged his bad behavior in the past. It’s really interesting to me to have two very different brands of crazy interacting. >u< Camille would probably be fooled hook, line, and sinker: thinking Odo’s patience with him was just another example of him being a superior person. Thus he’d have even more of a confused mixture of admiration and bitter jealousy. xD

I’m fine with you starting or with me starting~! I just need to know where Odo would meet him for an appraisal if I did start the thread. Would it be a chat thing at a sit down place, or would he be expected to show his leaderness by babysitting on a mission? Or would he just get a message like “Be here in ten minutes.” Out of the blue to test his speed of responding to higher ups? xD Sorry for hoisting so many questions on you! ;A; I’m sure I’ll be more intuitive when I’ve been around for a while.

Don’t apologize for questions, they’re totally fine! I’m happy to answer and help think of stuffs. <3 Team Flare currently has footholds in Ecruteak City, Fuchsia City, and New Bark Town. I think that it was decided that Flare’s main base is currently Ecruteak (thus a lot of threads there currently), but I could be wrong. ;^; So I’d say there ooor Fuchsia City would be great for the thread. Really just comes down to whether you prefer Johto or Kanto at that point.
Odo is impulsive, so I don’t imagine Camille having a lot of notice for this meeting oops. \o\ He probably got the orders a week ago and ~suddenly~ decided to finally do the evaluation that day. Camille would definitely just get a note out of the blue expecting him to be somewhere at a certain time, haha. It might be easier for us to start out with a sit down sort of situation in perhaps a café-ish setting? french breads and tea y/y
Totally open to anything, so don’t hesitate to suggest any other ideas or ask more questions~
