History
Mary doesn't remember her mother. All that she has ever had in her life was Mr. Griff Miles. A rough-and-tough pilot in team Galactic. When she was younger, her father resented her. Mary wasn't sure why, and it hurt, but she accepted it for a long time. But never really gave up, always trying to get closer to her father. Her only way, well knowing way, of reaching him was through the books in the house. So when she could, she began reading stories of the stars and books of the great men in history.
As Mary studied, she still reached out to her father by asking questions from the books. And, her father warmed up to her after awhile. And the man who was just some grumpy old guy suddenly turned into a hero to her. A man who would tell her stories of the stars, and would one day take her sailing among them. He began showing her, and teaching her things he had learned. Mary was no longer alone, and she was happier then ever.
After awhile, Mary also gained another interest. Pokemon. Of course, it took awhile and a lot of work. She was trying so hard to make friends with the little Pokemon she could find by the town, but none of them really accepted her advances. Not until she found Alexander, her small Ditto. The brave thing, came up to her at first, and she made friends with it. Eventually they kept following her. Seeing it as the bravest pokemon she's ever seen she named it after the great conqueror, Alexander the Great.
When her father joined with Galactic, she knew that he'd take her along in the stars. And the second that she could, she joined right behind him with her small ditto as her only companion. Of course, she doesn't so much (and what she does, she tends to screw up), but she tries really hard to do what she can to help her father achieve his dreams of being close to the stars.
