History
It's a history that, in retrospect, isn't that worth telling.
Alex's father died before she ever got to know the man, her older brother was just as sick as he was stubborn, her mother tried in vain to hold the family together, and her twin brother's capability of holding a grudge seemed to be the wedging force. After her father's death, her mother took up a job as a bartender in attempts to keep a roof over their heads while Noah was left with the actual task of raising the twins. It wasn't like they were that hard, or at least, Alex wasn't. Her temperament for the most part was mild, and somehow, it wasn't until after that her more destructive tendencies of her own seemed to show.
After Noah's disappearance, the family almost fell apart. Her mother was upset, naturally so, and Hayden was absolutely furious. Alex watched as her twin picked up habits that she would have honestly preferred he left, watched as he drifted further and further away.
Then, he came up with the brilliant decision to join Team Aqua. She wasn't as for it as he was, never really has been one for the whole battle-thing, but she wasn't comfortable leaving her brother in that sort of world alone. It wouldn't have been right, and so they joined together, and for a period of time, things seemed to start looking up.
When Noah came back, however, Hayden's grudge also returned. He left Aqua almost immediately after Noah joined in an attempt to bond with his siblings again. Then, he joined with Magma, as predictable as it was. With Hayden upset at her for not following him to Magma, and her now upset at Noah for disrupting the fragile balance that was placed, Alex has been left to pick up the pieces.
