History
Luna was born to a male model, and a woman who's life evocation was exploring ruins. As a very young child, she was always forced to move around, to find new friends and new places to belong. Not that she minded, she got to see a lot of things most kids wouldn't. Like riding on the back of a Wailmer into a deep sea ruin, or wearing huge goggles whilst her mother went to explore ruins in the desert. But perhaps, to Luna, this became common place. She always made new friends, only to leave them her new address, and dutifully write back to the ones that did write her. Most stopped after the second move, since they just couldn't be bothered to keep up with someone that they barely had known.
Friendships were like flowers. They were beautiful whilst they lasted, but wilted so despondently. This made her a conflicted child in some case, and more often then not, her things would disappear because they would sell everything off and go to the next spot. Her father had a flying type and a pokemon with fly, so he could always end up at his job, whilst her mother had other pokemon, taking the long trails and giving long stories of legends by rote. It wasn't.. boring because she was their treasured daughter, but Luna learned early to keep what she thought was a treasure to herself, and to not let it go. Since it seemed to her, everything in her life was transient.
Even with all of the moving and the relocating, the girl still was capable of completing basic school. However, she refused to do anything with pokemon, intending to go to a region where there was no pokemon to be found and live a normal life. To this end, she was learning actual school. But that was when she found out, one day, a cute girl with pink hair in her class. She was nice, she moved gracefully, she was honest and refreshing. And that's when Luna fell in love. This girl was everything she had ever wanted in her life, and determinedly, she would not let go. Slowly, her shy demeanor changed over their meetings, the girl taking care of herself more and more under the guidance of the girl, and her father.
Her mother felt it was nice for Luna to have a passion in her life. But all too soon, like the others, she was wrenched away. They were mere children then, learning how to struggle in a world. But she always sent letters to the girl, and always got some back. Perhaps it was just out of courtesy at some point, but to Luna, who saved all of the letters and always wrote two copies of her own, they were precious. And then one day, the girl wrote she was joining team Magma, and what pokemon she had picked. That was when the girl made a split decision, and decided to head off on her own path. This surprised both of her parents, that had neither joined one team or the other, some of the rare neutrals.
Luna went to join Team Magma. It is said that since then, several people kept their distance from her. There is a rumour that something is odd about the girl, and how often she's always in proximity to another girl. Of course, when she joined, the letters stopped. But she still kept all of them, and the worn photographs of their youths. Perhaps the girl would not remember how she looked, but Luna decided that this girl was hers, and hers only. She picked her pokemon, only thinking of the other girl. And with steps forward, she aims to follow her beloved where she went.
After all, she would belong to Luna, even if the girl had to do something drastic.
