Cory Kinsley was born in a moderately well off family. His father was a religious figure in a small community. Life was peaceful. Until he entered puberty. For years Cory kept his desires to himself, he knew his parents wouldn't understand his attractions. It was on his sixteenth birthday that the terrible truth came out, literally. His parents had decided to gift him a pokemon like they had every year since he turned ten.
About a month before hand Cory had his parents sit down. He told them his orientation, how he was attracted to guys as well as girls. At first startled, his parents calmly got up and silently left. It wasn't until his birthday that he found out exactly what his parents thought of his revelation. They gave him a pokeball with a small bow on it. Cory went through the motions and opened it. Out popped a little Flabebe, cute as a button. His father announced to all of the guests that they went to great lengths to obtain a fairy type pokemon for their fairy son. He told Cory to get out of his house and never return until he was normal again.
Cory left alright. Taking only the Flabebe with him, he journeyed into the big world outside his no name town. He was soon approached by a Team Rocket recruiter. With no other options in front of him he agreed. For three years he dedicated his life to the cause of the Rockets, evolving his Flabebe into a Floette and obtaining a second pokemon in the form of a Shinx.
