To say that being Kian's friend can be difficult is an understatement. He isn't the most approachable person there is, even by team galactic standards. Kian is content with being alone. He does his best work when he is left alone, after all, and thats pretty much the summary of his life. There is no point in trying to ease your way into a friendship with him by hanging out with him more often without any legitimate reason. If you do that, it will only make him paranoid and think that you are plotting murder or something outlandish along those lines. Your best bet is to make yourself very appealing by being good at your work and simply ask if you would like to be friends.

He might talk to you more often, but all he has to talk about is Galactic work and his own research. He will also be the first to admit when he has no experience in a situation and say that he couldn't possibly judge a person for a choice they made in these unknown scenarios. He isn't a friend to judge at all even, and in an odd sense that makes him a loyal friend so long as you don't go out of your way to be a shitty friend like break his stuff or backstab him on purpose.

Well, Kian is misanthropic. Depending on your view, pretty much everyone starts off in this category. However, he feels the need to hold himself in high esteem and will keep his detest buried within him for the most part. He doesn't like the sloppy. The unmotivated.The weak and pessimistic. They don't belong among anyone's ranks, let alone Team Galactic's and would rather not talk to or about them, as if they aren't there. Still, everyone around him, including the people with qualities he doesn't like are still just annoyances. After all, he can put on a happy face in front of them. The quickest and easiest way to break down his facade is one simple word.[break][break]
Worthless. A word he was familiarized with very early into his childhood. It would seem like all he ever heard was worthless. All his efforts were worthless. All he ever will be is worthless. Even as Kian climbed the ranks, he could still hear the rejecting voices tell him "worthless". And now he was in another world, where he is more or less accepted into and doing what he has always aspired to be. But the word followed him here. He can still hear people mutter it under their breath as he walks by, or through the walls of his office as they chat back and fourth. Or sometimes they are just thinking it so loudly he can hear it as if they are saying it. But he can't prove it, so he can't do anything about it. If someone was to actually say it to him, in front of his face? Who knows what would happen...but it won't be pretty. There has to be a silver lining between being annoyed and homicidal word-triggered rage, but one would have to rp with Kian to figure it out.

Surprisingly easier to get into then friendship, all one would have to do is ask him out on a date and its about a 50/50 chance he will say yes or no. The numbers change up depending on how busy he is and how your status is in his eyes. While he isn't genderblind, he isn't really looking to have kids ever, nor does he find himself aroused by any specific physical feature. Its more about character with this guy, and if you are on that 50/50 cusp and he said yes just by whim, you still have the chance of doing things the old-fashioned way; wooing him on the first date. Admittedly, he isn't that easily impressed, but it should be very clear what kind of person he finds worth associating with. Just be...20% more of that.

As a partner, he is not very romantic. He is more...frigid tsundere at first. He is prone to continuing with his daily life as if there isn't anything between him and his partner. But as time passes and they become more intimate, his perception on the relationship gains a very deadly and quick momentum. During the work hours, he will still play his usual cold-hearted ness, but when all the work is done, he becomes a different person. He knows that he isn't the most romantic person and that he has a lot of issues no one would really want to deal with. For that reason, he feels guilty and becomes a more submissive and biddable person; more like a servant than a romantic partner.
