    The day was going to be sunny, bright, and beautiful, and Anya didn’t even have the ability to fully enjoy it. She had official team business to handle that afternoon, and she was less than happy about it. It seemed like she always got roped into doing something boring for Team Galactic. Granted, they were granting her asylum from the cold world of unemployment, but it was really unfortunate. She’d woken up early to enjoy what little of the ocean she could – she’d taken her boxing things with her and practiced throwing punches a little to start her morning. Killian, being the good little Carbink that he was, was holding up the sandbag for her, using his sharp rocky body to ground the thing as she continually hit and kicked it. She almost felt like taking her annoyance out in this session, Killian had to work twice as hard to keep it upright. Sofia was sitting on the sand next to this event, she looked rather disgusted with the damp setting. She wasn’t a fan of the water at all. “Sofia, don’t look so disappointed, you know we’re going to be stuck in an office for the rest of the day, enjoy this while you can, please,” she said, pausing from the bag for a minute. The Vulpix twitched her tails, and leapt up on Anya’s back. She rolled her eyes. “Alright, you can stay,” she said. She continued throwing punches, and finished off a set by kicking the bag with all of the force of her displeasure with the day’s work, throwing Sofia off of her shoulders and into a puddled pool of seawater. She hissed, and Anya sighed. “That’s what you get, don’t complain about the sand next time,” she said. The beach was rather quiet, though it was morning, Anya had expected someone else to at least be wandering around, at least one other person. They were probably all waiting until the sun came out to frolic, like most people. She groaned. Life was hard. |
