History
Vincent's history with Team Magma began with a friend of his not wanting to join alone. At the time, Vince was an up and coming trainer in the Hoenn region. His ideals didn't exactly mesh with the land loving Magmites but he went with his friend for the sake of their friendship. Being a part of a group helped him in a few ways. It certainly made him more competitive, to beat his fellow comrades. For awhile, he did his part and rose up the ranks but when it was all said and done, he kind of gave up. Vince had a wonderful bond with his Pokemon, he was at a place within the Team that he was comfortable with and would let the young'uns do their thing.
When the race to grab land on the mainland began, Vincent was pulled out the closet where he was collecting dust and propped in place. It was such a drag but he had obligations that he committed to long ago so he'd do it, albeit with much complaints. Fortunately, he hadn't lost his touch for the glorious battles. Unfortunately though, he only had a bare minimum of Pokemon in which to take with him, as the rest had been adopted by newbie and expert trainers alike. Which was fine with him, since now they would be getting what they wanted.
He could still make do, he was just that good.
