History
a frail cry echoed the hospital room, signalling the birth of a son to two plasma officers posted in icirrus city. while the outside read temperatures as low as negative ten degrees celsius, the inside was a haven for those without sweaters and scarves. of course, this child is the blond we will eventually know as leif hansen, leader of team plasma, but let us watch his development first.
from day one, he thrived in the beliefs and customs of team plasma. pokemon were never supposed to be kept in capsules, dear arceus, no. they were meant to scour the wilderness, stake their own claims, and possibly find a human to bond with. his parents were all for the thought of their child receiving a pokemon, considering his beliefs of never making companions were of top priority. so, his parents went out and found him a small ghost from the celestial tower: litwick. when first encountering the candle pokemon, he would lean forward, stare at it for a few moments in confusion, and say, "you'll be necromancer."
from this bond with the litwick came the eventual trust in the pokemon, and you could say that leif had his first friend. never mind the school, never mind the promotion of his mother to elite, never mind anything that happened before age thirteen. necromancer was his life, serenity, and probably the closest thing to a 'love' that he would ever have. however, once he did hit the teen years, he would be inducted into team plasma as a grunt, keeping necro as his partner as the pressure for greatness rested upon his shoulders.
by the time litwick evolved to lampent, he already rose to the rank of officer, a sixteen year old being on par with his father and not too far off from his mother. it would appear that the boy born in the coldest night of winter would be rising to a greatness his family could never reach. with necromancer, he would eventually climb the ladder to the elitist slot by twenty, and admin was surely a slot to fulfill by twenty-six.
a dusk stone was located by an assigned mission, to which necromancer took the opportunity to evolve into chandelure by abandoning his post beside leif and snatching the stone by its arms. it would be the evolution, along with the utter success of the mission, that brought the attention of the man to the leader's eye. he was brought to the office of the leader soon enough, and at the age of thirty, he was passed on the position of team plasma's leader. however, there was one thing he had to do, and it was to release the chandelure into the wild in order to figure out his true intentions, in front of the leader and admins.
it brought him close to tears, but leif would soon release necromancer back to the celestial tower. it was one of the few times he would express his emotions so vividly, and it would never occur again. as he left the ghost type, it would be following him back, absolutely refusing to leave his side. while it was heartbreaking to tell the ghost type that he couldn't come along, the leader stepped up and admitted he would allow necromancer to stay, as long as no pokeballs were used and it was of the pokemon's free will.
therefore, after the initiation, leif hansen rose from the son of an officer and elite, both of which retired by this point, to the leader of team plasma. he has so much more to do, with the recent installment of moving to the mainland for competition, but he's confident others will see the way of plasma. especially if he has a force of words to be reckoned with.
