THE CINDERS, THEY SPLINTER AND LIGHT THE PATH It had not even been a week since Alison was promoted to officer. For six years she served under team Magma, fighting every single day to prove herself. The entire time Alison found herself trying to fight her way out of her Father's shadow. He used to be an Admin, a famous one at that. Serving with Maxie, her father had made the Dufort's famous within team Magma. They used to be renowned, but that was years ago. Her father had fallen in battle, and Alison was the one they sent to join Magma. They laughed at her, she was both weak and frail. Everyone said that she would die before a fight even began. Building herself up, Alison forged an armor out of work. She buried herself in it, using it to shelter herself from everyone. The mocking and cruel jokes died years ago, but Alison's armor never did. It stood strong. But today was different. It had to be, it just had to. Team Magma announced it's plans to move to the mainlands before Alison even had a chance to report to her superior officer. Getting swept away by the tides of change, Alison never had a chance to track the man down. It was very unlike her. But today was the day she would find the man. It was not hard to find his office, Magma made no attempt to hide it's Elites from it's own members. Standing at the door, in the typical garb of a Magma officer, Alison cleared her throat. She was nervous, maybe he would be like all the others from before. Biting her lip she raised her hand to knock on the door, but stopped before her hand connected with the door. This was a mistake, he would simply yell at her for being so late. Releasing her lip, Alison steeled her nerves. No, she had to. Knocking on the door, the woman prayed for the best. CRASH!!
"Pyro! Wait! Don't let that--" KRESSH!
It was definitely the sound that had come from behind the door. After the second crash, that sounded much like glass shattering, there was a short silence within the room. But that was short lived as there came a short cry from behind the door and a thud, as if someone feel onto the floor. It took several moments before the door cracked open. A sea blue pupil peering out the door at who was disturbing his boring privacy. But as the one eye saw the face of the girl an interesting grin sat itself upon the half of his face that could actually be seen. Then he stepped away from the door, grabbed something from behind it and slipped himself out without opening the door too much. On his shoulders hung Pyro, his Monferno and in his arms was his cute Cyndaquil, Kindle. The calm little thing was happy to just snuggle in his arms as the other boy shut the door behind him and faced the new Officer under his command.
Now that he could see her up close and personal, Milo couldn't help the zealous grin that crept onto his lips. "Hello there." He said with an energetic confidence. Kindle squirmed momentarily within his arms, but was soon satisfied by a new position. Milo payed very little attention to the sleeping pokemon and the one that was now going through his hair. He was too busy studying his new Officer. "You must be Alison Dufort." He said casually before glancing (almost seriously) at the door behind him. But it didn't matter. There was no way He was going to get to have a meeting in his office. Currently he was cleaning it out and getting rid of all the stuff that he, Pyro, and Kindle didn't need.
"D'uh... I'm spring cleaning right now. How about we go for a walk and we can talk about what you are to expect while working for me. I'm really interested in seeing how you progress in the next couple of weeks. I haven't been an Elite for long, but I've been one long enough to see the ones that need work and then see the ones that are willing to grow. Are you willing to grow my dear?" Without waiting for her to respond he winked at her and turned. He began to head down the hallway of the fourth floor of the small base. Small compared to others. He knew that on the second floor, there was a cafe where they could talk about "Important" stuff.
